According to the huge
responsibility loaded on the civil defense, and the importance
of the services they offer to provide protection to the
country and civilians from all jeopardy, that’s why civil
defense was created in the United Arab Emirates, thanks to his
highness, Al Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler of the country
and their highnesses, the members of the Union High Council. When the high council
decision number (4) of year 1976 was issued, of the approval
of creating the public management of civil defense, after it
was just some fire departments that follows the municipalities
and then the public management of civil defense started its
responsibility since that date up to now it is a continuous
development and upgrading all its equipments and machines and
means. |

of Civil Defense: |
| Civil defense means
protecting people and public and private properties, and
insuring the transportation safety and investigation, and
assuring the stable movement of public utilities production
and protecting the buildings, foundations, institutions,
public and private projects, and national affluence resources
in war, emergencies and disasters. |
